The permanent staf is usually responsible for project management, solutions definition and architecture (OLTP and Business Intelligence), privacy and security assessment, performance tuning, disaster recovery and enterprise data integration.

The contracted staff will typically include database and application server administrators to refine and implement solutions, as well as suplemental resources for the core team as needed.
